Things to be Wary of While Riding an Elephant During a Photo Shoot…

When preparing to shoot a promotion on an elephant, one must consider the many possible pitfalls. First, negotiate a price, avoiding wedding season where elephant rentals go through the roof. Second, make sure tie down larger quilts and pillows when loading the elephant’s hurda, or you will lose them for sure. Don’t forget to dress your mahout, as he is usually wearing only a dhoti on a hot day. Watch out for packs of children who are sure to gather and dodge around the elephant in gleeful chaos. Beware of motorbikes zooming down the road behind the elephant, ruining the tranquility and faux timelessness of the shot. Keep the elephant awake by walking her about so she does not look too bored. Finally, try not to fall off of the elephant- it is quite a ways down.
