Sales Manager

Job Objective

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for the company. Staffs and directs an in house sales team, and independent reps, and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients, Account Executives and Sales Reps.

Responsibilities:

- Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Executives and Sales Reps.
- Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
- Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Executives and Sales Reps to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Executives sales and activity performance.
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and activity reports submitted by Account Executives.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Recruits, tests, and hires Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.

Relationships and Roles:

Internal / External Cooperation

- Insures that all Account Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
- Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
- Sets examples for Account Executives in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
- Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Account Executives to build motivation and selling skills.
- Maintains contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Job Specifications:
- Extensive experience in the home décor market.
- Experience dealing with department stores, specifically Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Saks and better specialty stores
- Ability to analyze projection/sales and inventory reports of large vendors
- Hospitality experience a plus
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements and ability to communicate them back to the design team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.

Web/Editorial Content Coordinator

Reports to Owner/President & Senior Ecommerce/Digital Marketing Manager

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in the digital/ecommerce space, lives and breathes everything digital, and has a fresh, exciting outlook on ecommerce.

The Web/Editorial Content Coordinator participates in the management of all digital content and assists in executing all programs for the brand. This position is responsible for growth and engagement across all branded external digital communities. This role reports and coordinates with Marketing, ecommerce, Design teams as well as our Digital Agency to ensure our brand/products are well represented on Johnrobshaw.com.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Work with marketing leadership to create long term and seasonal social strategies, growth targets and roadmaps
- Regularly edit/layout blog content & email campaigns.
- Liaise with Web Logistics Coordinator to maintain web image database seasonally and own uploading product regularly onto the website with light merchandising.
- Maintain an ongoing content calendar through curation, solicitation and creation of meaningful brand and lifestyle content.
- Maintain an ongoing competitor calendar.
- Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities to gain insights into customer behavior and buying patterns.
- Stay current on new trends, contests, and media platforms pertaining to social activity, working closely with our Social Media coordinator.
- Regularly relay insights gained from social media monitoring to the Marketing team, to help the brand evolve its strategies in a timely fashion.
- Create Social Media guidelines clearly defining what can be shared, posted, or engaged with our social channels.
- Helps develop & document procedures to manage Web content
- Moderates content as it is contributed to the website by external source

Skills/Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years previous experience in marketing and copywriting; social media management experience at a multi-channel or specialty retailer a plus
- Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator, light html.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of web usability standards and practices
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS)
- A solid grasp of word of mouth/digital marketing, a strong social media footprint, and acute knowledge of emerging trends and technologies.
- Drive to experiment and develop emerging social channels.
- Detail oriented with an ability to identify compelling content that aligns with brand standards (both visual and written)
- Multi-tasker with exceptional time management skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to easily and closely collaborate with various constituents across the company.
