Fabrics: True Blue

"A vat of indigo dye is like a mistress," says fabric designer John Robshaw, quoting an old proverb. "She requires a lot of attention, and her mood changes constantly." Though it has lots of personalities, indigo has universal appeal, which is evident in the many fabrics—from tie-dyes to batiks—now available.
