These super fine organic cotton voile coverlets are patiently stitched by hand, each one taking a week to complete. Crafted in thin layers of organic cotton voile and lined with cotton batting, only the super fine fabric brushes against your skin, not the stitches themselves. These coverlets are so light, yet so warm-–ideal for year round sleeping.

Coverlets have hand stitching on both sides; organic cotton voile on front and back. Piped edges. Sham has envelope closure. Euro has hidden zipper closure.

Story

These hand stitched quilts have been the hero of John Robshaw's collection since he first introduced them decades ago - he affectionally calls them 'running stitch quilts'. A centuries old tradition of hand quilting, these artisans, often women working communally, stitch from the outside in using what are called running stitches. Quilts are made patiently and meticulously by hand, using organic cotton. Each quilt takes days to complete. Cut, layered, stitched, and finished entirely by hand. Crafted entirely in India, these quilts embody the richness of artisanal quilting traditions preserved through generations.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold, separately, delicate cycle. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach. Iron at medium setting if necessary.
