This vintage Suzani is a garden of pomegranates, leafy branches, and oversized blossoms embroidered in warm shades of coral, raspberry, and watermelon red. Winding vines and scattered blooms give the orderly design a loose, playful energy, while the tonal reds make the whole piece feel especially vibrant and cheerful. Paired with a coordinating John Robshaw fabric on the reverse.

Story

Suzanis are traditional embroidered tribal textiles that John collects on his journeys through India. Their name comes from the Persian word suzan, meaning “needle,” a nod to the intricate hand embroidery that gives each piece its distinctive character. For this collection, each Suzani has been paired with a coordinating, hand block printed John Robshaw fabric on the reverse.
